West Texas A&M Lady Buffs defend home court with wins over UT Tyler and Angelo State during Lone Star Conference crossover matches

The West Texas A&M volleyball team regained momentum from an up and down showing at the Colorado Premiere Tournament by proving putting the Lone Star Conference on notice with two big victories during the LSC Crossover Tournament at the WTAMU Fieldhouse on Thursday and Saturday.

The Lady Buffs opened the tournament with a sweep of UT Tyler, 25-20, 25-21, 25-22, and then closed the tournament getting an impressive sweep of No. 13-ranked Angelo State, 25-18, 25-17, 25-20.

WTAMU is now 8-3 overall and 6-0 at home to start the year and will officially start league play when the Lady Buffs travel south to battle Texas A&M-Kingsville at 6 p.m. Friday, and a Saturday afternoon match with Texas A&M International.
