Joey Read, affectionately known as “Coach Read” by his players, has dedicated nearly three decades to coaching, with the last 19 years spent at Dalhart High School. Before that, he honed his skills during a 10-year tenure at Palo Duro High School. Through the years, Coach Read has built a reputation as a respected leader and mentor, crediting much of his growth to the peers he’s coached alongside.

For him, the most memorable moments aren’t tied to a single game or season but to the invaluable lessons learned from his colleagues and the privilege of coaching his own children.
