Press Pass Sports reporter Lee Baker caught up with Canadian Wildcat quarterback Weston Mitchell during the Air It Out Football Camp at Bushland High School.

Mitchell completed his first full year as the Wildcats starting quarterback last fall, helping Canadian to an 11-2 record and a trip to the UIL Class 3A Division II regional semifinals. Mitchell finished his season going 215-of-324 throwing for 39 touchdowns. He also rushed for 578 yards with another 10 TDs.

Canadian opens up the 2026 football season hosting Panhandle at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28.
