There were plenty of big performances during another solid Week 4 of high school football on Thursay and Friday. Let’s take a look at some of the top performers across the Amarillo-area and South Plains.

Ryan Rodriguez, Lubbock-Cooper, QB, Sr.

Rodriguez had the best game of his senior season in a wild 57-56 shootout win against crosstown rival Frenship on Friday night. Rodriguez picked apart the Tigers secondary the entire night and into overtime going 32-of-48 for an eye-popping 483 yards with five touchdown passes. His favorite target on the night was Noah Clark who hauled in 12 catches for 168 yards with two scores.

Reid Macon, West Plains, QB, Sr.

Behind Macon and an entire offensive explosion, the West Plains Wolves were able to beat Bushland for the first time in program history in their fourth and did it convincingly 45-0 on Friday night at Happy State Bank Stadium. Macon was in total command of the offense and took his time picking apart the Falcons defense going 16-of-26 for 312 yards with five touchdown passes.
