On the season so far, Lucero is a key factor for the Lady Eagles averaging eight kills with five digs, and two aces a match.

Head coach Jason Hale: “I’m very happy with how the team is playing and has progressed since the season started. We just try to take it by each game especially here in the district season. We have a great group of players that are very dynamic and Morgan is one of those. She has stepped up from last year and is a completely different player. She is in a new role and making very smart plays every time she’s on the court. She’s just a great overall person and is heavily involved in so many school activities.”

Lucero: “Since the season has gone on we’ve just gotten better and better. I think that’s because of the team chemistry. We have a strong bond and everyone plays for one another and it has shown, especially in district. This season, my confidence is so much better. I have to give a lot of credit to my teammates but I’m playing with a lot of confidence and I always want to give my team all I can.”
