The UNLV signee is having a superb season for a tradition-rich Canyon team that is 13-1 overall. Through those 14 games, Winfrey is putting up 10.6 points a game with five boards and 2.4 steals per contest.
Bailey Maupin, Gruver, 5-9, Jr. Guard
The Class 2A All-State selection from a year ago has elevated her game to even new heights this season for the No. 8 Lady Hounds. The Division I prospect has been stellar averaging 22.3 points to go with 8.3 rebounds a game, while shooting 89.6 percent from the free-throw line.
Zeryiah Aokuso, Amarillo High, 5-10, So. Guard
Keep an eye out for the Lady Sandies young player. Going by the nickname “ZA” the athletic guard has helped lead No. 2 AHS to a 10-1 mark by averaging 10.6 points a game to go with 5.1 rebounds.
Emma Troxell, Bushland, 6-0, So. Forward
After an electric freshman season Troxell is coming more into her own as a sophomore. The Division I talent is averaging a double-double per contest so far by scoring 10.8 points a night, claiming 10.2 boards per contest, and has made an impressive four steals per game.

Mason Jones, Panhandle, 5-10, Sr. Guard
The Tarleton State signee has the No. 2 Ettes off to a 13-2 start as the district season begins to ramp up. Jones runs the floor with the best, can defend, and has range from anywhere. On the season the senior is putting up 15.5 points a game with 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals.
Chloe Callahan, Canyon, 5-10, Sr. Guard
Winfrey isn’t the only one getting it done for Canyon. Callahan, a University of North Texas signee, is lengthy and versatile on the floor for first-year coach Tate Lombard. In her first 14 games, Callahan is scoring 11 points a contest with four rebounds.
Briley Barnes, Amarillo High, 6-1, Jr. Forward
The 6-foot-1 Barnes is a matchup nightmare for opponents thanks to her size, and length. Barnes, the daughter of former Perryton standout Brock, has been a key player for coach Jeff Williams scoring 12.6 points a game, and bringing down 7.2 rebounds.
Grace Foster, Childress, 6-1, Sr. Post
At 6-foot-1 and a finesse touch, Childress’ Foster is one of the most dynamic players in the Texas Panhandle. The Lubbock Christian signee is almost impossible to stop at any point on the floor averaging 19 points a game, shooting 91 percent from the line, to go with 8.6 rebounds.
Jessalyn Gonzales, Tascosa, 5-6, Sr. Guard
Anything the Lady Rebels need Gonzales seems to do. The senior leader can flat score pouring in 23 points a contest, but she’s more than just a point producer. Gonzales also snags 4.7 rebounds, nabs 2.6 steals and dishes out two assists a night.
Mattie Boyd, Canadian, 6-0, Jr. Post
The three-year starter gets better and better for the Lady Cats each season. Through a 13-2 this year so far Boyd has put herself in a leadership role for No. 6 Canadian by averaging 19.2 points a game, while showing her physical side boarding 9.2 rebounds.
