Pampa’s Bridwell honored with Built Ford Tough trophy

Quarterback Tucker Bridwell was received the Built Ford Tough Class 4A Player of the Week trophy in front of his coaches, peers and teachers at Pampa High School on Thursday morning.

Bridwell earned the statewide honor for his performance during a 52-25 win against District 3-4A Division I rival Hereford in week 9.

The gunslinging senior was spot on against the Whitefaces, going 14 of 18 for 435 yards with five touchdown passes. Bridwell also rushed for another score.

On the year, Bridwell is 195 of 326 throwing for a Texas Panhandle-best 2,946 yards with 27 touchdowns.

Bridwell and the Harvesters finished the regular season at 8-2 overall, and will face Gainesville in the Class 4A Division I bidistrict round at 7 p.m. Friday on Leo Brittain Field at Lions Stadium in Vernon.
