It was a busy night of Week 6 action across the Texas Panhandle and South Plains. Check out how teams from the Texas Panhandle and South Plains faired including Shallowater’s beating of Canadian, Wall pulling away from Idalou and Gruver blanking River Road.

Shallowater blasts Canadian

The Shallowater Mustangs bounced back from a blowout loss to Idalou last week by handing out a whipping to previously unbeaten Canadian on Friday with a 52-20 victory on Friday night at Todd Field.

The Mustangs (3-3) didn’t waste anytime jumping on Canadian (5-1) coming out of the gate scoring on their opening possession and never looking back. In fact, Shallowater led 17-0 before the Wildcats finally got on the board on a Weston Mitchell touchdown toss to CJ Jiminez late in the first quarter.
