Bushland’s Berklee Billington had nine kills during a sweep of Dumas on Tuesday night at the Falcons Gym.

Though the match was cut short due to a power outage at the Falcons Gym following a heavy storm Tuesday night in Bushland, the Lady Falcons were in complete control and were credited with a sweep of Dumas during a non-district battle with scores of 25-16, 25-11, and 15-6 in third set before the game was called.

The Lady Falcons are off to a typical hot start to the season improving to 14-5 overall while the Demonettes fall to 11-4.

The dynamic duo of Berklee Billington and Laynee Adams were too much for Dumas at the net with the two combining for 18 kills. Billington and Adams both knocked down nine kills a piece and Adams was stellar at the serving line with five aces. Teammates Morgan Eberly and Jaida Scott went for a combined 19 assists. Eberly tallied 10 with Scott adding nine.

Amarillo High ran its impressive District 3-5A win streak dating back six years to 69 straight matches following a sweep of Caprock, 25-10, 25-5, 25-8, on Tuesday night at the Amarillo High Activity Center. The Lady Sandies remain unbeaten in the league at 2-0 while moving to 13-7 overall. The Lady Longhorns slip to 4-12 overall and 0-2 in district. Dillan Ray and Stella Crawford combined for 30 assists to pace AHS. Ray had a game-high 18 with Crawford adding 12. Anzley Davis did her job defensively with 14 digs.

Tascosa kept pace with Amarillo High by handling business at home with a sweep of Lubbock Monterey, 25-16, 27-25, 25-10, on Tuesday night. The Lady Rebels push their District 3-5A record to 2-0 and are now 11-9 overall. The Lady Plainsman drop to 1-1 in the league and 9-6. Blaire Whatley powered down 14 kills for Tascosa with Kori Nickerson hitting the floor for 13 digs.

Frenship won the first battle of a brand new rivalry, taking down Frenship Memorial, 25-18, 25-13, 25-20, at Memorial on Tuesday night in a district match. Lady Tigers senior Reese Roberts earned a double-double with 14 digs and 13 kills. Frenship is now 2-0 in District 3-5A and 13-8 overall. The Lady Panthers slip to 7-11, 0-2.

Lubbock-Cooper also remained unbeaten in District 3-5A with a sweep of Lubbock Coronado 25-16, 25-19, 25-22. Konli Johnson paced Cooper with nine kills and Broox Lopez went for 17 assists and eight kills. The Lady Pirates move to 2-0 in district and 16-5 on the season. Coronado is 8-8, 0-2.

In one other District 3-5A match from Tuesday, Lubbock High swept Palo Duro, 25-10, 25-10, 25-15.

In non-district action, Canyon came out a winner with a sweep of Plainview at home Tuesday night. The Lady Eagles soared past the Lady Bulldogs with scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-19. Standout Laney Jones slammed down 11 kills and Brylee McElroy ran the offense with 17 assists to guide Canyon to a victory. The Lady Eagles are now 14-5 overall.

West Plains was able to take down Plainview during a triangular at the Joe Lombard Gymnasium at Canyon High School on Tuesday night. The Lady Wolves were able to handle the Lady Bulldogs in a sweep thanks to scores of 25-23, 25-20, 25-8. West Plains improves to 12-9 on the season with the win. Teagan Hudson had the offensive landing a team-high 16 kills. Sophie Williams tallied a double-double with 19 assists and 14 digs.

Randall rolled over Dalhart at home with a sweep of the Lady Wolves, 25-13, 25-9, 25-14, in a non-district match Tuesday. The Lady Raiders (16-5) saw sophomore Chloe Brown, who recently went over 500 kills and 500 digs, 16 digs and 12 kills for a double-double.

Lubbock-Cooper Liberty made quick work of Shallowater in a non-district battle Tuesday thanks to a 25-10, 25-10, 25-7. Liberty’s Lexie Allgood slammed down a game-high 13 kills as the Lady Patriots improve to 15-4.

River Road picked up a non-district victory by taming Tulia in sweeping fashion 25-20, 25-15, 25-17. Junior Gracie Froneman highlighted the victory for the Lady Wildcats with a double-double effort. Froneman was big at the net with 11 kills while also dishing out 12 assists and added two aces. River Road is now 9-4 on the year.

The Vega Lady Longhorns had a big night getting a pair of victories against Perryton and Holy Cross Catholic Academy. The Lady Longhorns (6-8) knocked off Perryton, 25-19, 25-21, 25-20, and then beat HCCA 25-9, 25-7, 25-10. In those wins, Madelynn Wellman had 14 kills with 11 digs and six aces. Teammate Khloe Griffitt added 13 kills with 11 digs and four aces.

Friona sent Lubbock Estacado packing with a 25-14, 25-23, 25-21, sweep on Tuesday. The Squaws push their record to 12-4 to start the 2026 campaign. Friona’s Peyton McFarland had the offense working with 11 kills and Aaliyah Padilla did her job on defense with 26 digs.

Highland Park was able to get by Shamrock, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21, on Tuesday. Kaitlin Lucas made sure the offense ran smooth with 28 assists, which helped Alexis Perez land eight kills to lead the Lady Hornets (12-3).

In one other non-district match, Midland Lee defeated Hereford, 25-14, 25-23, 25-19.
