After an 0-2 start to the year, the Falcons have now put back-to-back wins together to even their record at 2-2 on the year.

“It feels really good to get two in a row,” Bushland head coach Josh Reynolds said. “We played two really good teams to start the year and did some good things but now I feel the offense is starting to click. We had a huge night in the passing game against Lubbock Christian and the defense played good minus a few things. We’re headed in the right direction.”

Bushland jumped all over the Eagles (3-1) going up 35-12 and never looking back. The offense was on point piling up 701 total yards.

Bushland quarterback Parker Hall threw for 475 yards against Lubbock Christian High School on Friday night.

Quarterback Parker Hall had his second straight stellar outing. After throwing for 340 yards in a win at Dumas last week, the sophomore was slinging it against LCHS, going 27-of-40 for a career-high 475 yards with an eye-popping seven touchdown tosses. Hall also ran for a team-best 72 yards on nine attempts.

“Parker is getting better and better,” Reynolds said. “He had great pass protection. That’s two weeks in a row he hasn’t been sacked. Parker is growing and doing a good job of targeting his receivers and those guys are doing an amazing job of getting yards after the catch.”

Hall’s favorite target was definitely Asher Koenig and Kannon King. Koenig snagged six catches for a team-high 183 yards with three touchdowns while King had five catches for 119 yards with a score. On the ground, Colton Foote used his swift feet to chew up 39 yards with a pair of TDs.

“I just liked the overall way we played,” Reynolds said. “We ran the ball well, and I love how the offense is moving the ball. We just have to continue to keep making big plays.”

Defensively, Bushland forced five turnovers with defensive lineman Brock Loveless making seven tackles that included four for a loss. Teammate and linebacker Kaydn Crosley added 10 tackles with an interception.
