2023 resume

Head coach: Adam Cummings, third year at West Plains, 19-7. 11th year overall, 73-45.
2023 Record: 12-2 overall, 4-0 in District 2-4A Division II. Class 4A Division II state quarterfinalist.

Returning starters 

Offense: 2
Defense: 3
Season opener: at Seminole, 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30.

Players to watch 

Reid Macon, 6-foot, 170-pound, QB, Jr. 

Macon has established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the Texas Panhandle let alone the state. Entering his third year as the signal caller, Macon has full control of the offense and has taken the reigns as the team’s captain. Last season, Macon had a stellar season throwing for 3,306 yards with 35 touchdowns.

Kaden Breitling, 6-2, 225-pound, TE-DL, Sr.

Breitling plays multiple roles and is a very dependable asset for head coach Adam Cummings. He graded out blocking at 95 percent on the offensive side of the ball last year while making 20 tackles with a sack on the defensive side.

Brody Tupin, 5-11, 190-pound, DB

Tupin is a dynamic weapon for the Wolves in the secondary in it showed last year making 53 tackles, 18 of those solo, with three fumble recoveries and a sack. The senior is expected to be a leader and have an even bigger role heading into this season.
