Everhart led the Rebels to an improbable second half comeback in a key district win against Amarillo High, 28-27, leaving fans at Dick Bivins Stadium memories for years to come in this epic rivalry. With the Sandies leading 27-0 early in the third, the dynamic junior took matters into his own hands. Moving to the QB spot, Everhart was unstoppable totaling 225 of his career-high 290 yards on 22 in the final two quarters. Everhart put his stamp on this rivalry when he scored his third and final TD of the game by breaking loose on a counter option for 47-yards. That gave Tascosa its only lead and it was the eventual game-winning score.
Dallan Dill, Dumas, Sr. LB
The Dumas Demons stifled the Pampa defense in a 28-9 victory to clinch the District 3-4A Division I title outright, and Dill’s effort set the tone. The senior didn’t miss an assignment, and flew to the football making 13 tackles, eight of which were solo, including a sack and a forced fumble.
Brennen Thompson, Spearman, Jr. WR
The Lynx clinched outright second place in District 3-3A Division II beating Tulia 42-14.
In the win, the Division I prospect Thompson showed off his prolific speed catching five balls for 127 yards with two TDs, and added 76 yards on the ground with another score.
Tony Cervantes, Perryton, Jr. K
With ice water in his veins Cervantes nailed a 47-yard field goal with 40 seconds to play for the games only points, lifting the Rangers to a thrilling 3-0 victory against Borger at Bulldogs Stadium. Cervantes game-winner gave Perryton a share of the District 2-4A Division II championship, and the No. 2-seed in the playoffs.

Hayze Hufstedler, Canadian, Sr. RB
The senior showed why he’s one of the top players in the area by putting together one of his best performances against rival Childress during a 63-13 rout. Hufstedler carried the rock 16 times for 211 yards with four rushing touchdowns, including an 89-yard score in the third quarter. Hufstedler also made himself a weapon out of the backfield snagging four catches for 73 yards, and added a fumble recovery on defense for a fifth TD.
Marc Ramirez, Wellington, Jr. RB-LB
The junior is becoming a mainstay on this list by his continuous performances. During a 38-7 win against Wheeler to capture the District 4-2A Division II crown, the junior two-way star led the Skyrockets racking up 112 yards on 18 carries, followed by an amazing touchdown catch in the corner of the end zone. Ramirez tallied over 10 tackles on defense for unit that limited Wheeler to 95 yards of offense.
Braxton Burd, Randall, Jr. QB
Randall stayed in contention for a playoff spot by pounding Plainview, 48-6. The Raiders racked up 406 yards of offense in the win with 341 yards coming on the ground. Burd carried the majority of the load, rushing for 130 yards on 16 carries with three rushing scores, and completing 7-of-8 passes for 65 yards and two more TDs.
Jack McKay, Canyon, Sr. WR
The Eagles bounced back in a big way with a dominating 53-0 shutout of Hereford. As good as the Eagles defense was, the offense was equally impressive led by McKay. The 6-foot-3 wide out was a mismatch snagging five passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns.
Luke Betzen, Nazareth, Sr. SB
Nazareth ended its year with a nondistrict game against Roby, and Betzen made the best of it. During a 59-54 win, the senior threw for 92 yards and three touchdowns, adding 149 rushing yards and another three scores.
Landyn Hack, Panhandle, So. RB
The sophomore tore up the Sanford-Fritch defense to help lead the Panthers to a 68-6 win, and an outright District 1-2A Division I championship. Hack only touched the ball six times, but chewed up 174 yards, averaging an eye-opening 29 yards a carry, with three touchdowns.
