Amarillo High put up 38 unanswered to down Bell Street rival Randall, 38-7, on Friday night at Dick Bivins Stadium.
The Sandies improve back to .500 on the season at 2-2. The Raiders have now dropped three straight falling to 1-3.
Quarterback Will Maynard was clutch in the win, going 21 of 32 for 220 yards with a touchdown pass and two running TDs. Maynard also tacked on 50 yards rushing.
The AHS defense stifled Randall to four first downs, 190 yards of offense with three fumble recoveries.
AHS running back Taevon Hood had 10 carries for 172 yards.

Eagles soar past Caprock
A stellar offensive performance from Canyon quarterback Jay Defoor allowed the Eagles to win big, 50-27, over Caprock on Happy State Bank Field at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium Friday night.
The story was Defoor as he completed 20 passes for 324 yards and three touchdowns in a Canyon air raid attack.
Caprock running back Corbin Putman had a solid night on the ground for the Horns rushing for 88 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown. However, Caprock’s Tarik Williams was a do-it-all performer, rushing four times for 21 yards and receiving four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown.
Although Caprock spread the ball around offensively, the Eagle offense was unmatched, racking up 324 passing yards, 114 yards on the ground, and seven total touchdowns.
Canyon stays unbeaten at 4-0. Caprock falls to 0-4 on the year.

Dumas‘ defense does it again
It was another superb night for Dumas as they blasted Plainview in a 56-0 route. The Demons accumulated 35 points in the first quarter alone, as they shutout the Bulldogs at Demon Stadium.
Defense has been a stronghold for the Demons so far for the Demons led by junior linebacking duo Daman Dill and Cade Cox. However, it was the Demons secondary that turned heads, holding without a completion. Friday’s win also makes eight straight quarters the Dumas defense has held Wichita Falls High or Plainview from scoring over the past two games.
Rushing was another big factor for the Demons, as they accumulated six touchdowns on the ground in the first half against a porous Bulldog defense.
Junior running back Jacob Mares rushed for 83 yards on seven attempts as he found the end zone three times in a monstrous performance.
Dumas quarterback Spencer Williams outperformed himself from last week’s 7-0 win over Wichita Falls High, completing seven passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Williams finished the night with an 87.5 completion percentage.

Pampa outguns Levelland
The Pampa Harvesters are off to a 3-1 start to the year after downing Levelland 34-28 on Friday at Harvester Field.
Quarterback Tucker Bridwell did damage to the Lobos secondary throwing for 403 yards and four touchdowns. Receiver Kevin Sanchez was Bridwell’s target on the night racking up 10 catches for 198 yards and a score. Teammate Joey Hill added 104 yards receiving with a pair of TDS.
