Hereford stays hot with win over West Plains
Hereford kept a stronghold on second place behind Canyon in District 4-4A with a huge, 50-36, home win Tuesday night against West Plains.
The victory not only clinches a playoff spot for Hereford but puts the Lady Whitefaces at 7-2 in district and 20-8 overall. West Plains (10-18) is still in the mix for a final playoff spot, sitting at 4-6.
The Lady Whitefaces spread the wealth against the Lady Wolves. Azlyn Zallar led the way by posting 13 points to go with five rebounds and four steals. Teammate Mia Gomez also had 13 points with three assists and Kaydence Ramirez poured in 10 points.

Frenship continues two decade long playoff reign
The Frenship Lady Tigers made quick work of Midland High on Tuesday getting a lopsided 71-44 win.
Thanks to that key victory, Frenship improved to 23-8 overall but more importantly 6-0 in District 2-6A. That also clinched the Lady Tigers a spot back in the postseason for an eye-opening 24th straight season.
Addisyn Bollinger had the hot-hand for Frenship going off for 22 points. Bollinger knocked down four, 3-pointers against the Lady Bulldogs and was a perfect 4-for-4 at the free-throw line. Teammate Jada Jackson chipped in with 14 points, and was 6-of-6 from the charity stripe.
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY’S TOP PERFORMERS
- Wellington’s Taytum Kane had a career-night, highlighted by knocking down nine, 3-pointers, as Kane went on to an incredible 39 points in a Lady Skyrocket 86-17 victory against Memphis.
- Peyton Merkel of Gruver continues her push for Newcomer of the Year, piling up 30 points in an 82-46 rout of Sunray.
- McLean’s Hailo Moon had quite the week, combining for 52 points during wins against Shamrock and Lefors. On Tuesday, in a 54-34 win against the Lady Irish, Moon tallied a game-high 27 points, then on Wednesday against the Lady Pirates, Moon went off for 25 points in a 49-37 victory.
- Dehlilah Martin posted 24 points that lifted Pringle-Morse to a 51-29 win over Boys Ranch. With that effort, Martin went over 1,500 points for her career.
- Miami stayed unbeaten in District 1-1A by getting an 84-38 win at Kelton on Tuesday. Freshman Brylee Thompson was stellar once again with a game-high 23 points.
- Booker’s Gabbi Barton came up clutch thanks to a game-best 23 points as the Lady Kiowas got past Follett 50-43.
- Randall rolled over Dumas 63-21 with Carmella Guerrero leading the way with 21 points.
- Kenadi Green of Valley had her first ever 20-point effort, scoring a game-high 20 points in a Lady Patriots pouncing of Paducah 82-18.
- Claude’s Bree Perez lit up White Deer for 17 points during a big 57-34 win in a District 2-1A clash Tuesday.
- Bushland’s Berklee Billington has the Lady Falcons soaring. Billington registered 22 points in a 65-23 win against Tulia.
