Kaela Neie earns First Team All-Conference honors for Amarillo College volleyball

Kaela Neie’s resume featured three school records and four conference Player of the Week honors when the 2024 season came to a close 13 days ago.

The sophomore outside hitter from Bushland now has another prestigious award on her illustrious resume following the most productive offensive season in team history.

Neie was named to the Western Junior College Athletic Conference First Team, as announced by the WJCAC.

In her lone season at AC, the Bushland High alum set the team record for kills in a season (434), kills in a single game (26) and hitting percentage in a single match (minimum 15 TA) with a .583 clip against FPC – a match she ended with 16 kills.

Neie’s season was highlighted by her school record 26-kill performance during AC’s first win against a ranked opponent in team history – a five-set victory over No. 16 New Mexico Junior College.

The upperclassman led the Badgers in kills during 27 of 30 outings.

Neie leaves the program as the career hitting percentage leader (.228, minimum 300 TA) and second in kills since the reboot of athletics at AC in 2022.
