Grace Foster delivered a dominant double-double performance with 21 points and 11 rebounds, becoming Lubbock Christian University’s all-time leading scorer and the first Lady Chap to surpass 1,800 career points during a 75-60 win against Angelo State on Thursday.

LCU’s opening bucket was a milestone one, as the Childress graduate hit a turnaround-jumper to move into sole possession of the top spot in career scoring for the Lady Chaparrals. Foster entered the game tied with Canyon graduate Nicole Hampton (Gerlich) with 1,796 career points atop the leaderboard for career scoring in LCU history.

Foster’s 21 points places her with 1,817 career points, as she also became the first Lady Chaps member to surpass 1,800 career points. Gerlich presented Foster with a commemorative ball to commemorate the milestone during a halftime recognition during the men’s game.

Foster turned around on Saturday and kept the Lady Chaps unbeaten at home celebrating Senior Day with an 82-56 blowout win against UT Permian Basin. Foster led LCU with 26 points marking her 16th game to surpass the 20-point mark this year.

Foster and the Lady Chaps (24-3 overall) are 18-1 in the Lone Star Conference leading the West Division at 13-0.
