On the court: Godbolt had a massive week helping the Tascosa Rebels to big wins over rival Palo Duro and Lubbock Coronado. The senior put up massive numbers against the Dons, totaling a career-high 38 points, going an impressive 14-of-16 from the field, 9-9 from inside the arc and was 5-for-7 from the free-throw line.

On top of those numbers, Godbolt also added five steals, and three rebounds. Against Coronado, Godbolt had the offense game on point once again with a team-high 25 points, finishing 6-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-9 from 3-point land. Godbolt even chipped in three boards with two assists.

On the season, Godbolt leads the Rebels averaging 16.3 points a contest.

Head coach Steven Jackson: “I think we are playing well right now overall as a team. We’re not where we need to be yet, but we’re making progress and hopefully we’ll start to peak soon and continue to get better. I love coaching LaDarius. He’s a savvy basketball player and he has a very high basketball IQ. He lets the game come to him and gets the entire team involved. His ball handling is better, his decision making is better, and he’s a vocal leader. The entire team respects him.”

Godbolt: “I think we have had tough matchups but we have played better right now and we’re only getting better. We’ve been pushing through and the team all respects each other. I think we have really good chemistry and we’ve all played together for so long. As for myself, I just want to continue to let the game slow down and take control when I can. The most important thing is winning as a team.”
