Dylan Ray, Randall football, Sr.

On the field: Ray was unstoppable torching Monahans during the Raiders 43-14 whipping at Monahans last Friday.

Any time Ray had the ball in his hands he was dangerous lighting up the Loboes defense for 228 yards on only 11 touches with three scores. Ray ended his night averaging an incredible 20.7 yards per carry.

Through the first two games this early season, Ray has already stacked up over 300 plus yards.

Coach Dan Sherwood: “It’s been a good start for us but of course we’re always looking to get better. We’ve started fast in games and there is more maturity than last year but I like that all units are playing well. Dylan is one of those guys that has started off strong. He’s been a three-year starter here and he’s an incredibly hard worker. He’s more vocal this year and a two-year team captain. He’s always crediting his teammates and just stepped-up big time for us.”

Ray: ““I feel like all we’re all coming together quicker this year. When we lost in playoffs last year, we knew what we had coming back, and we knew what we were capable of. We’re a mature team. I’m feeling really good right now, but I wouldn’t be where I am if I didn’t have the offensive line I had. Those guys need all the credit. Overall, though, I’m feeling explosive and seeing the field well. I just want to keep getting better.”
