Andrew Brewer and Kent Neal had it going for 33 holes which resulted in a lopsided victory to capture the championship during the 73rd Budweiser Partership on a scorching hot Sunday afternoon at the Ross Rogers Golf Complex.
Playing together for seven straight years now in this prestigious partnership, it’s Brewer and Neal’s first title together after falling short the last six times.
“We haven’t gotten runner-up against the same team three times and beaten by other champions,” Brewer said. “It’s the first time for us to win together. Playing in this tournament is extremely difficult. It’s four straight hard days of golf. We’ve wanted to win this tournament together and it was nice to finally get over that hump and win this championship.”
Brewer captures his second title of the summer after winning the Dos Equis Championship in early June. For Neal, he punched his ticket to the Coors Tournament of Champions in August for the fourth time in his golf career and the first time since 2021.
“This means a lot to me,” Neal said. “In 2021, I got sick with COVID and had to withdraw from the Coors Tournament of Champions. I’m glad to be back in the Coors TOC and I’m hoping to stay healthy this time and I want to see if I can go make a good showing.”

Brewer and Neal had coasted through the tournament on Friday and Saturday and were taking on Zack Norrell and Drew Baccus in a 36-hole final that started early Sunday morning. Throughout the front nine, Brewer and Neal found themselves trailing before Brewer got hot on the back nine shooting a nine-under-par 63 to give his team a 5-point lead heading into the final 18 holes.
Norrell and Baccus were able to close the gap tying the match by the 21st hole, however, it was Neal that took over with clutch birdie putts pushing the advantage back to 5 points as Brewer and Neal were able to close out Norrell and Baccus by the 33rd hole winning 10 and 6.
“The first 18 holes I was able to make a lot of putts,” Brewer said. “Kent stepped up the final 18. That’s how partnership golf works, and we played as a team and that was a big reason we played so well not only Sunday but the entire weekend.”
Neal echoed Brewer’s comments.
“It was fun watching Andrew play on the first 18 holes,” Neal said. “I stayed out of his way on the first 18 and just let Andrew do his thing. I really found my game the final 18 and we were able to get it done.”
