Gruver makes it a team sweep at District 1-2 Track and Field meet; Farwell Steers, Olton Lady Mustangs win District 3-2A meet

It was an extremely long meet due to inclement weather, but when it was all said and done the Gruver Greyhounds and Lady Hounds were able to continue strong athletic years winning the District 1-2A team titles during the District 1-2A Track and Field Meet on Wednesday and Thursday at Greyhounds Stadium in Gruver.

The Greyhounds had a powerful meet with a total of 173 points to win the championship. Sophomore standout Mason Lankford showed his versatility bringing home three gold medals on top of two silvers. Lankford made it a sweep in the hurdle events posting new personal-bests in the 110-meter hurdles with a 15.02 and the 300-meter hurdle race clocking a 39.37.
