The high school volleyball season is now in full swing and District 3-5A continued with a full slate of gmes on Tuesday night. Check out the results from the Texas Panhandle and South Plains teams that saw action from Amarillo High traveling to Lubbock Coronado, Tascosa battling Caprock, and Lubbock-Cooper taking on Palo Duro. In non-district play, West Plains hosted Frenship and Bushland visited Dumas.

District 3-5A

Lubbock-Cooper sweeps Palo Duro

Lubbock-Cooper kept the momentum of winning the San Angelo Tournament championship over the weekend by opening District 3-5A action with a sweep of Palo Duro on Tuesday night.

The Lady Pirates took down the Lady Dons in convincing fashion, 25-21, 25-16, 25-9, at the PD Activity Center.

The win pushes Lubbock-Cooper’s overall record to 12-4 on the year and 1-0 in league play. The Lady Dons drop to 6-9-1 overall and 0-2 in 3-5A.
