High School Volleyball Texas Panhandle South Plains Scoreboard and Standings

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY’S TOP PERFORMERS

Vega opened District 1-2A play with a sweep of West Texas High (25-19, 25-12, 25-18). The Lady Longhorns had superb production from Khloe Griffitt and Madelynn Wellman. Griffitt went for 10 kills, six digs with a pair of aces and blocks. Wellman followed with 15 assists, eight kills and four aces.

Miami remained perfect in District 1-1A play with a sweep of Shamrock (25-14, 25-8, 25-13). Scarlett Pillars had a great game with 21 assists and 18 digs for a double-double. Brylee Thompson connected for 11 kills with 1 assists for a double-double.

After a tough start to district, Friona finally found the win column with a sweep of River Road (25-18, 28-26, 25-21). Peyton McFarland did her part for the Squaws with 12 kills and three aces. Despite the loss, River Road’s Gracie Froneman went over 500 career kills.

Shallowater stayed tied with Childress atop the District 2-3A standings getting a sweep of Littlefield (25-8, 25-13, 25-14). The Fillies had 33 kills as a team with Alyvia Holcomb knocking down a game-high 12.

It was Tulia taming Smyer in a District 2-2A opener Saturday (25-14, 25-12, 25-14). The Lady Hornets were led by Kloe Chasco and Michelle Mott, who combined for 14 kills. Tulia also picked up its first district win since 2024.

Randall stayed all alone in first place of District 4-4A with a dominating sweep of Dumas (25-15, 25-14, 25-13). Camryn Massengale landed seven kills to pace the Lady Raiders.

Teagan Hudson had 16 kills with 13 digs for a double-double as West Plains knocked off Pampa (26-24, 25-16, 25-15).
