District 2-4A Division II
In a matchup of teams looking for their first district wins, Perryton came out on top, beating Borger 43-23 to clinch the district’s fourth and final playoff spot.
Quarterback Cooper Schilling led Perryton (4-6, 1-3) with three touchdown passes while running for 147 yards and two scores. Isaac Arellano ran for 185 yards and a touchdown and also caught a touchdown pass while Gordo Estrada caught two touchdown passes and intercepted three passes on defense. Defensive lineman Cash Wheeler racked up 19 tackles, 10 of those solo, with a sack.
Borger finished the season 0-10 and 0-4.
In the district’s other game, Lubbock-Cooper Liberty crushed Levelland 49-10 to clinch the outright district title and No. 1 seed. Levelland will settle for the district’s No. 3 playoff seed.

District 2-4A Division I
Dumas clinched the district’s No. 3 playoff seed in convincing fashion, as the Demons closed their home season with a 41-0 victory over Pampa.
ZJ Jara led the running game for Dumas (7-3, 3-2) with 145 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Quarterback Colton Mills continued to be a strong dual threat, as he threw two touchdown passes and ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
The Demons held Pampa (1-9, 0-5) to 130 yards, as the Harvesters went winless in district for the second straight season.
For the only time in district play this season, the West Plains Wolves ventured away from Happy State Bank Stadium but the results were the same, as they cruised to a 45-7 win at Hereford to finish with an unbeaten district championship season.
Slade Russell continued to run the ball strong for West Plains (9-1, 5-0), picking up 161 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Gianni Peck also got involved in the action with 130 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Hereford finished the season 2-8 and 1-4.
District 2-6A
Frenship’s long bus ride to San Angelo was even longer coming home, as San Angelo Central closed the game with 45 unanswered points to hand the Tigers a 52-16 defeat Friday night.
Central will claim the district’s No. 3 playoff seed while Frenship (4-6, 2-3 in district) will be the fourth seed.
The Tigers took a 16-7 lad in the second quarter, but Central came to life after that. Frenship’s offense shut down after that initial burst, particularly running the ball, as the Tigers managed only 23 yards on the ground.
District 1-2A Division I
All Highland Park had to do heading into the regular season was win and they were in the playoffs. That’s exactly what the Hornets did with a 26-6 convincing victory at Sanford-Fritch on Thursday night.
The Hornets finish the regular season at 2-3 in District 1-2A Division I and 4-6 overall. Highland Park will be the No. 4-seed out of the district thanks to the victory.
Quarterback Josh Marler had a solid night against the Eagles going 8-of-13 for 137 yards with two passing touchdowns and ran for 33 yards with another score. Running back Morgan Peace was a nice compliment with 90 yards rushing on 14 yards and Joey Williams caught three passes for 71 yards and a score.
The Eagles end the year at 3-7 overall.
West Texas High was the only team north of Plainview to complete the regular season undefeated after rolling past Sunray 52-14 on Friday night at home.
The Comanches, who went a perfect 10-0 and 5-0 in district play, went unbeaten for the first time since 1989 and will be the No. 1-seed.
In the win over Sunray, running back Kelby Sherwood ran wild with 226 yards on 15 carries with three touchdowns including a 91-yard scamper. Quarterback Cayde Winters went for 200 yards on the ground on 12 carries with a touchdown and threw for another score. Receiver Zach Bryant caught that touchdown pass from Winters and finished with 66 yards receiving.
The Panhandle Panthers had no problems pummeling Spearman 67-12 on Friday night.
With the win, the Panthers (8-2 overall, 4-1 in district) secure outright second place in district. Spearman (6-4, 3-2) will be the No. 3-seed.
Quarterback Broxton Robinson went 7-of-13 for 174 yards with six touchdowns and ran another score. Teammate Lucas Purcell tacked 64 yards on five carries with a TD.
District 2-2A Division I
New Home clinched the No. 1-seed in District 2-2A Division I by outlasting Olton 48-30 on Friday night.
The Leopards head to the playoffs with an 8-2 overall record.
Brayson Beck did damage for New Home throwing for 131 yards with a touchdown and added another rushing score. Parker Liles showed his versatility with 91 yards rushing on six carries with two touchdowns and added 56 yards receiving. Running back Ryder Starkey was a force with 150 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns.
New Deal will be the No. 2-seed following a 62-0 shutout against Floydada on Friday.
The Lions finish the regular season at 6-3. Quarterback Dallas Sumner returned from injury to go 5-of-5 for 167 yards with two TD tosses.
Post secured the No. 3-seed with a 38-0 blanking of Abernathy.
District 1-2A Division II
The Stratford Elks are the outright District 1-2A Division II champions following a 41-13 thumping of Farwell on the road Friday.
The Elks head to the playoffs as the No. 1-seed with a 7-2 record. Farwell (6-3) will be the No. 3-seed. Chase Lantelme threw for 91 yards and Alejandro Casas chewed up 80 yards rushing with a touchdown.
In a play-in game for the fourth and final spot, Bovina blanked Vega 30-0 as the Mustangs will head to the postseason.
Bovina will be the No. 4-seed out of District 1-2A Division II with a 3-6 mark. Running back Angel Lara carried Bovina in the win stacking up 90 yards rushing with two touchdowns.
District 2-2A Division II
Hale Center secured a perfect district record by getting a 55-3 blowout win over Morton.
The Owls head to the playoffs with an impressive 9-1 mark and are a back-to-back District 2-2A Division II champion.
Carlos Gonzalez had a very good night throwing for 169 yards on 10-of-14 passing with three touchdowns to lead Hale Center.
District 5-2A Division II
On a night where Clarendon ISD honored alum Kenny King, the former Oklahoma Sooner and Oakland Raiders Super Bowl Bowl winning running back, with a field induction ceremony, the Broncos football team was able to make King even more proud with a massive 44-36 win against Quanah to snag a playoff spot on the newly-minted Kenny King Field at Broncos Stadium.
With that incredible win, the Broncos (2-8 overall), who started the year at 0-8, finished the year with two straight wins to punch a ticket to the playoffs as the No. 4-seed. Quanah (5-5) will be the No. 3-seed.
Markeal Anderson ran like King, toting the rock six times for 132 yards and a touchdown for the Broncos. Ranger Drenth added 82 yards with two touchdowns on only five carries.
Wheeler was able to secure the top spot out of the district with a 46-7 win over Shamrock and Wellington is the No. 2-seed thanks to a 57-0 shutout of Memphis.
District 1-3A Division I
The Bushland Falcons soared by River Road 51-10 to claim the third place spot out of District 1-3A Division I on Friday.
The Falcons (4-6) are the No. 3-seed and River Road (1-9) will get the fourth and final postseason spot.
Quarterback Kannon Aven was putting it on his receivers going 20-of-25 for 253 yards and five touchdowns. Zeke Pool caught five of those passes for 66 yards with a pair of scores.
District 1-3A Division II
It will be the Friona Chieftains going into the playoffs as the No. 3-seed thanks to a 34-21 win against rival Dimmitt on Friday night.
The Chieftains (3-7) have put together back-to-back wins in district to secure that third-place spot. Dimmitt (5-5) will be the No. 4-seed.
Friona ran for 296 yards as a team led by Jameson Daniels and his 108 yards rushing on nine carrries with a touchdown. Aaron Rosales chipped in with 19 carries for 97 yards and two TDs.
District 2-3A Division II
Idalou is the outright league champion as the Wildcats hammered Muleshoe 64-14.
The Wildcats head to the playoffs hot at 7-3. Muleshoe (3-7) is the No. 4-seed. Quarterback Kamdon Lutrick was on point going 15-of-19 for 294 yards with four touchdowns.
