The Wayland Baptist commit and her experienced teammates are having a tremendous year as the Lady Cougars get set to venture into the postseason. On the season, Sewell has been stellar putting up some impressive numbers with 566 assists, 195 digs, 85 aces and 79 kills.

Head coach Holly Lindley: “The success we’ve had this year is definitely built on the senior class. We have seven of them and they have been on varsity since they were freshman. They are a special group that has contributed a lot to this school and this program. Jaycee is one of those. She is a leader on the floor and has a lot of volleyball experience. She has helped the team and is a passionate player. She is always determined and has a huge amount of grit.”

Sewell: “I’ve been in three high schools throughout my four years, and this is special here at Fort Elliott because it’s nice to know I’m somewhere I can make an impact. We all keep each other with positive attitudes and we all believe in each other. I’ve been working at getting better on the front row. I play club volleyball and a never played front row, but I do here at Fort Elliott. It’s only my second year playing all-around and I feel it’s helped my game.”
