Amarillo-area High School Volleyball final regular season standings

Here’s a look at the final regular season Texas Panhandle high school volleyball standings.

Lubbock-Cooper Liberty’s complete team effort spoils Frenship Memorial’s varsity debut

Dumas (21-10) will play Hereford (24-19) for the fourth and final playoff spot out of District 4-4A at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Caprock Activity Center.

Friona (26-11) and River Road (22-14) tied for third in District 1-3A and flipped for the top two seeds in Division II on Thursday. River Road won the flip and will be the top-seed in Division II. Friona is the second seed.

The Class 2A TAPPS playoffs get underway this weekend. The San Jacinto Christian Lady Patriots (33-5) will play host to Victory Baptist (23-9) in a bi-district matchup at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Look for the local bi-district playoff pairings to be published Sunday.

Kale Steed has worked in media since 2002 and has covered sports full-time since 2010, when he joined KVII-TV as a weekend sports reporter and sports anchor. From 2010–2014, he covered high school and collegiate athletics across the Texas Panhandle before transitioning from television to print journalism.
