Treshun Wilson, Tascosa, RB, Sr.

Welcome back Treshun Wilson. This is an incredible story. Wilson suffered a broken fibula and dislocated ankle in the season opener against Palo Duro in late August. After having surgery and being told his high school career was more than likely over, Wilson prevailed making his comeback during the Rebels’ 56-34 triumph over Lubbock Coronado to put Tascosa back in the postseason. Wilson carried the ball four times for 14 yards and did find the endzone, but just being back on the field is remarkable in itself.

Pius Vokes, Amarillo High, RB, Sr.

The extremely speedy Vokes pushed the tempo in a 61-28 blowout over Lubbock Monterey that secured the Amarillo Sandies No. 3 spot in the playoffs. Vokes was a complete mismatch for the Plainsman out of the backfield chewing up 158 yards on 17 carries with a TD.

Broxton Robinson, Panhandle, QB, Soph.

The legend of Broxton Robinson is growing by the week. Once again, Robinson put the Panthers on his back doing it with both his arm and his feet. Helping lead Panhandle to second place out of District 1-2A Division I with a 62-40 win at Farwell, the dual-threat QB put together a night that won’t soon be forgotten. Robinson was called upon to run the ball 42 times for 248 yards with six touchdowns and went 8-of-14 for 193 passing yards for another score.

Joseph Estrada, West Plains, K, Sr.

Arguably the Texas Panhandle’s best kicker had another lights out performance during West Plains’ 49-3 rout over Borger. Estrada went a perfect 7-of-7 on extra-points and totaled four touchbacks on kickoff returns. Estrada ends the regular season leading the nation in scoring with 90 points.

Daniel Sianez, Muleshoe, RB, Sr.

What an effort from the senior who stepped up and led Muleshoe to a 53-45 win at Dalhart on Friday night. Sianez worked his way through and around the Golden Wolves defense toting the rock 17 times for 208 yards with three touchdowns. Thanks to his huge evening, Sianez has gone over 1,000-yards on the season.

Kalub Ramirez, Hereford, So. QB

Hereford’s sophomore gunslinger had a tremendous night that saw the Whitefaces pull out a 45-42 last minute thriller against Dumas in a key District 3-4A Division I clash. Ramirez had one of his best efforts to date going 15-of-20 for 345 yards passing with five touchdown tosses.

Colton Caudle, Clarendon, WR-LB, Jr.

Caudle had a career outing that was a major factor in the Clarendon Broncos stunning Wellington 36-20 to claim the outright District 2-2A Division II championship. On the offensive side, Caudle used his 6-foot-4 frame to take advantage of man coverage hauling in four catches for 184 yards with two touchdowns. On the defensive side, Caudle made 10 tackles, three for a loss, adding a sack and a forced fumble.

JP Carbajal, Spearman, RB, Jr.

Carbajal had a quick but a very effective night as Spearman reached the playoffs once again by blasting Tulia 42-0. The bruising junior running back only played in the first half but made the most of what he was given by piling up 162 yards on 13 touches with touchdown scampers of 30, 20 and 18 yards.

Brady Thompson, Highland Park, QB, Sr.

It wasn’t the ending Thompson had in mind as his Highland Park Hornets missed the playoffs, however, the senior leader played outstanding in his final high school contest. During a 55-28 blowout over Sanford-Fritch the talented Thompson was 26-of-32 passing for 308 yards with four TDs and ran for another score.
