It was another busy weekend of High School Volleyball across the Amarillo-area.

Highlighting the weekend was Tascosa and Amarillo High. The rival schools earned big nondistrict wins Saturday, one week before District 3-5A action starts.

Despite a loss to Frenship on Friday, the Lady Rebels were able to rebound with a five-set win against talented Lubbock Cooper (25-23, 18-25, 25-16, 20-25, 15-10).

Liv Sims made 16 kills against the Lady Pirates, and Saylor Abbott collected 19 digs.

Tascosa improved to 3-4 with the victory before opening district play with Randall (3-1) on Saturday.

After a treacherous 0-4 start the Amarillo High Lady Sandies has found their groove as winners of five straight.

The Lady Sandies had a successful weekend beating Midland Lee at home Friday, followed by a sweep of Wichita Falls Rider and a four-set win against Abilene Cooper on Saturday.
