Tascosa (0-0) at Abilene High (0-0), 7 p.m. Rebs begin their non-district run against 6A foes. Tascosa has team speed across the board that is frightening and will be the difference in this one. … Tascosa 35, Abilene High 14

Caprock (0-0) at Lubbock Cooper (0-0), 7 p.m. The Rock is going to better than most people believe. But Cooper is just what everybody believes – ready for a deep playoff run. .. Cooper 42, Caprock 28

Plainview (0-0) at Hereford (1-2), 7 p.m. If this isn’t a 2020 game I don’t know what it is. Here we are six days from October and this is Plainview’s opener. Herd has struggled the last two times out but with three games under its belt and a home will be the difference. … Hereford 28, Plainview 24

Pampa (4-0) at Levelland (1-3), 7 p.m. Pampa owns a prolific offense averaging 51.5 points a game snd coming a 73-point effort against Denver City. District 3-4A continues to be rough on Levelland. Last week it was Dumas this week it’s Pampa. … Pampa 55, Levelland 31.

Tulia (3-1, 0-0) at Highland Park (0-4, 0-0), 7 p.m. It’s the battle of Hornets in a District 3-3A DII opener. Tulia is one play from being undefeated, however, at the end of this night they’ll be unbeaten where it counts with a district W. … Tulia 40, Highland Park 12

Memphis (3-1) at Booker (0-3), 7 p.m. The surprising Cyclones keep their winning ways going on the road at Booker. … Memphis 30, Booker 14

Bovina (1-3) at Vega (2-2), 7 p.m. A two-game losing skid comes to an end for the Longhorns taking on a bruised up Mustangs squad. …. Vega 36, Bovina 13

Clarendon (4-0) at Quanah (1-3), 7 p.m. Clarendon is a sneaky good team with the talent to make a run in Division II. Once they put it all together they’ll be scary. … Clarendon 28, Quanah 12

Sundown (3-1) at Farwell (3-0), 7 p.m. Here’s one of the better matchups of the night. The Steers are a quiet 3-0 with solid offense and stingy defense. This is going to be a great test to see where they are at against the roughnecks. … Sundown 27, Farwell 22

Gruver (0-4) at Shamrock (4-0), 7 p.m. The script has flipped from a year ago for two programs that are going in the opposite direction. The Greyhounds play extremely hard, but the Irish are hot. … Shamrock 32, Gruver 20

Stratford (2-2) at Panhandle (2-1), 7 p.m. The Panthers are looking to snap a long losing skid to rival Stratford dating back to 1987. … Panhandle 48, Stratford 40

Wheeler (3-1) at Sunray (3-1), 7 p.m. Despite a loss to WT High, the Bobcats showed they are far improved from 2019. This game comes down the fourth quarter and which star player makes a difference late. … Wheeler 28, Sunray 26.

Wellington (3-0) vs. Jacksboro (3-1), 7 p.m. in Vernon. Wellington puts its unbeaten record up against its toughest opponent to date. … Jacksboro 30, Wellington 20.

Hedley (2-2) at Lazbuddie (3-0), ​7:30 p.m. ​The Owls are losing the momentum that they collected when they started the season 2-0, now they head to Lazbuddie and try to contain the Longhorns offensive attack. I think Hedley has its hands full in this one. … Lazbuddie 73, Hedley 45

Silverton (1-3) at Miami (2-2), ​7:30 p.m. ​The Warriors have been on a rollercoaster to start the season at 2-2, but they are on the upward slope now. … Miami 58, Silverton 50.

Wildorado (3-1) at Amherst (2-1), ​7:30 p.m. ​The Mustangs took a beating for their first loss of the season against Follett in Week 3.
