The Mustang junior had one of the best performances of anyone in the state. Behind a strong offensive line, Marshall ran all over Archer City for 475 yards on 35 carries with 5 touchdowns, and threw for two more TDs.. Through 11 games, Marshall’s has stacked up 2,262 yards and 27 touchdowns.
Joseph Plunk, Tascosa, Sr. QB
The lightning quick leader of the Rebels ground and pound offense torched El Paso Pebble Hills with 176 rushing yards with four TDs. Those yards put Plunk over the 2,000 mark for the year, with 2,009 yards and 29 touchdowns.
Cade Cox, Dumas, Jr. LB
It was an epic afternoon in Lubbock, as Dumas earned its first playoff win in 22 years by beating Wichita Falls Hirschi. Cox was a force defensively, making eight tackles, and forcing a fumble.
Tucker Bridwell, Pampa, Sr. QB
Bridwell put up another Built Ford Tough type effort during the Harvesters lopsided 56-28 win over Gainesville. The senior was 26 of 39 for 420 yards with five touchdown passes. Bridwell also rushed for a TD.

Hunter Haynes, Gruver, Sr. RB
Haynes did all he could to lift Gruver past Tahoka, 44-41. In a Class 2A Division II bidistrict game. The versatile senior had 99 yards rushing, 103 yards receiving with three touchdowns.
Patrick Perea, Randall, Jr. RB
The junior stepped up during the Raiders 24-17 first round win at Justin Northwest. Perea racked up 103 yards on only 10 carries with and two touchdowns.
Jaykob Hernandez, WT High, Sr. WR-DB
Hernandez was clutch on both sides of the ball during a rout of Olton. Hernandez made two interception returns for touchdowns of 80 and 36 yards. Offensively, Hernandez scored on his three carries and ran for 161 yards.
Jacob Bautista, Friona, So. RB
In his playoff debut, Bautista ran more like veteran senior during a 37-22 win against Anson. With the game on his shoulders, Bautista carried the ball 30 times for 354 yards and five touchdowns. It was Friona’s first playoff win since 200@.
Ben Crockett, McClean, Sr. RB
The reigning Class 1A Player of the Year picked up where he left off from last year in a 54-8 drubbing of Happy. Crockett galloped for 259 yards on 20 carries with four touchdowns. He also did work through air going 3 for 3 passing for 66 yards with two more TDs.
