For a second straight year Tascosa came up with the same result, drubbing El Paso Pebble Hills, 41-6, in a Class 6A Division II bidistrict contest under the lights at the friendly confines of Dick Bivins Stadium.

Quarterback Joseph Plunk stole the show in the first half, rushing for four touchdowns that got the Rebels out to a 41-0 halftime advantage.

Plunk, a senior, scampered for TD runs of 49 and 80 yards, ending another fantastic night with 176 yards on 10 carries, cracking the 2,000-yard rushing mark for the season with 2,006.

Complimenting the signal caller was Darius Sanders. Sanders set up an early touchdown returning a short punt 17-yards deep into Pebble Hills territory. Toward the end of the first half, the junior scored on a 21-yard touchdown return.

Tascosa (8-3) ended the game with 362 total yards, all on the ground. The Rebels advance to the area round to face Arlington Bowie at a time and place to be determined. Bowie held off Weatherford in its bidistrict game, 42-36.
