Grant McCook, Canadian, Sr. QB

The savvy senior had his best start of the season leading the No. 2 Wildcats past Grapevine Faith, 49-30. McCook totaled McCook totaled 329 yards of offense, throwing for 151 yards, rushing for 178 yards for a combined four touchdowns.

Isaiah Carrasco, Caprock, Sr. LB

Caprock’s defense had a superb performance in a 35-14 win over district rival Palo Duro. Linebacker Isaiah Carrasco was a big reason the Longhorns picked up their first win of the season making 13 tackles, five of which were solo.

Jacob Mares, Dumas, RB

The Demons stayed unbeaten on the year and Mares was a big reason why. During a 47-35 victory at Wichita Falls Rider the Demons running back carried the rock 25 times for 230 yards with two touchdowns. Dumas is 5-0 on the year.

Jacob Bautista, Friona, So. RB

What did Bautista not do in the Chieftains thrilling 39-35 win over Dalhart. Bautista busted loose for 271 yards with four touchdowns. The sophomore scored Friona’s eventual game-winner with 23 seconds to play.

Walker McBryde, Stratford, Sr. QB

Stratford dominated No. 1 Hamlin 39-6, and the Elks did it in multiple ways. Senior quarter, McBryde, continues to change the reputation for the Elks. McBryde was on-point completing 73 percent of his passes. McBryde ended his night with 220 yards through the air with a touchdown.

The Texas Tech commit didn’t play in the first half against Panhandle, but was still the biggest difference maker in the Skyrockets 60-41 shootout victory over Panhandle. The Panthers defense had trouble tackling the 6-foot-5, 220 pounder. Holcomb had 226 yards on only 15 carries with four touchdowns sk

Bo Christi, Canyon, Sr. LB

Canyon’s hard-nosed linebacker is becoming a regular on this list. Week in and week out, Christi racks up the tackles, and during a 64-19 win at Borger, that didn’t change. Christi flew all over the field making 19 tackles.

Eight of Christi’s tackles were solo, adding a tackle for a loss.

Brandon Belcher, River Road, Sr. RB

Homecoming was a fun night for the Wildcats, routing Sanford-Fritch, 47-0. River Road’s run game was unstoppable led by Belcher. Belcher touched the ball only eight times, however, racked up 110 yards with two touchdowns, including a 71 yard score.

Avian Cruz, WT High, Jr. QB

Cruz is a familiar name on this list, and is back on it with his performance during his Comanches 47-28 win at Spearman. Cruz spread the ball around, throwing four touchdown passes to four different receivers, totaling 190 yards by air. On the ground, Cruz torched the Lynx defense for 237 yards rushing and three scores.

Jalin Conyers, Gruver, Sr. QB

The Oklahoma commit had another solid outing leading his Greyhounds to a 50-6 win at Highland Park. Conyers completed 13 of 21 passes for 299 yards with five touchdowns. He also ran for 78 yards and two scores
