Top 10 Texas Panhandle and South Plains football performers from Week 6

Week 6 is in the books and there were some big-time performances from some unbelievable athletes. Let’s take a look at some of those top performers across the Texas Panhandle and South Plains.

Reid Macon, West Plains, QB, Sr.

Though West Plains suffered a heartbreaking 41-35 overtime loss to an elite Argyle Liberty Christian team, quarterback Reid Macon did his part to give his team a chance to win. The star-studded senior also achieved a special milestone in the contest going over 10,000 career passing yards in his 45th career start. Macon finished the night going 17-of-24 for 163 yards passing with a touchdown and ran for 113 yards with four scores.

Julian Reese II, Palo Duro, QB, Jr.

Reese is getting better and better by the week and it showed Friday leading the Palo Duro Dons to their biggest win to date in an impressive 48-6 victory at Wichita Falls Memorial in the District 2-5A Division II opener. Reese was on his game through the air going 13-of-17 for 223 yards with touchdown passes. He also rushed for another 32 yards.
