Week 3 came to a close on Friday night and there was a lot of exciting games as well as individual performances. Let’s take a look at some of the top performers across the Amarillo-area and South Plains.
Jacob Trevino, Tulia, QB, Jr.
The junior had his best outing of the season as the Hornets stung Sanford-Fritch handing the Eagles their first loss of the year in a high scoring 63-46 affair on Thursday night. Trevino was spot on with his passes the entire game going 26-of-33 for an eye-opening 404 yards with seven touchdown passes to three different receivers.
Jett Lopez, Amarillo high, QB, Sr.

Hunter Trusler, Dalhart, QB, Sr.
Behind Trusler, Dalhart pulled off the biggest win of Week 3 across the Texas Panhandle as the Golden Wolves stunned Panhandle 42-35. Trusler put a stamp on his unreal performance by breaking loose on an 85-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter for the eventual game-winning score. Slayden Dickinson, Canadian, RB, Sr.
Despite leaving the game early in the second half with an injury, what Dickinson did for Canadian in two quarters of work was unbelivable. During the Wildcats wild 40-35 win against Dumas, Dickinson put together a game like performance in the opening half. Dickinson torched the Dumas defense running the ball only 10 times but already had 210 yards with four touchdown runs.
Chase Campbell, Frenship, WR, Sr.
Campbell had his biggest game to date as the Texas Tech commit helped lead the Tigers to their first win of the year during a 61-13 blowout of Wichita Falls Legacy. Campbell was a mismatch for the Legacy secondary snagging seven catches for 198 yards with a pair of touchdowns.

Zach Bryant and Collin Bryant, WR’s, West Texas High
The Bryant brothers had a night they’ll never forget leading West Texas High to a huge 36-28 win over Gruver that snapped the Greyhounds 17-game regular season win streak. The highlight of the night for the Bryant’s was when little brother Zach connected on a double pass to big brother Collin on a 75-yard double pass for the eventual game-winning score with only 37 seconds left in the game. On top of that monumental play, Zach caught two touchdown passes with 77 yards on the night with 13 tackles. Collin had a pair of touchdowns on 144 yards receiving.
Reid Macon, West Plains, QB, Sr.

Brayson Beck, New Home, QB, Sr.
The New Home Leopards have put together back-to-back wins following a 34-14 win at Muleshoe. Beck had his best game under center this year as the senior was 13-for-19 against the Mules for 273 yards with a pair of touchdown passes. Beck also added 56 yards rushing on only five carries.
Coy Miller, Farwell, RB, Soph.
Miller stepped up in a big way during the Steers 38-26 victory against Sundown on Friday. Quite simply, Miller wasn’t going to be stopped as he plowed through the Roughneck defense rushing for 205 yards on 12 totes with two touchdowns.
