Gruver clinches 1-2A crown

It was much closer than the first time around, however, the result was the same. The Gruver Greyhounds used a strong second half to cruise by West Texas High for a 67-45 victory in Stinnett on Friday night in a District 1-2A showdown.

The Greyhounds not only stay undefeated on the season at 17-0, but also clinch the outright District 1-2A crown, improving to 11-0. WT High stays in second place in the district at 10-2 while dropping to 13-2 on the season.

Unlike the first matchup, WT High came out playing well, trailing only 12-11 after one, and 29-23 at the half. In the final two quarters, the Greyhounds started to show their strength. The Greyhounds came out firing in the third quarter, going up 52-37, and rolled in the fourth quarter to get the win.
