Perryton graduate and Texas Tech wide receiver Dalton Rigdon put up a career-high for receiving yards and made quick strike catch that set the tone in a Red Raiders 38-17 win against West Virginia on Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium Saturday in Morgantown, W.V.

Rigdon ended his career afternoon snagging three catches for 106 yards, but no catch was bigger than his first quarter touchdown.

With the Red Raiders leading the Mountaineers 7-3 and the ball at their own 20-yard line, Rigdon ran a post, blowing by his defender and over the top of the West Virginia defense. Quarterback Jett Duffey delivered a perfect strike to Rigdon in stride allowing the speedster to turn on the jets and leave the defense in the dust for the 80-yard touchdown.

Texas Tech, which is 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the Big 12, earned its first victory in Morgantown since the 2013 season.

On the year, Rigdon, a redshirt sophomore, now has 30 catches for 411 yards and four TDs in nine games.
