High School Baseball/ Softball Texas Panhandle playoff pairings

It’s the midway point of the Texas High School baseball and softball UIL playoffs. The Amarillo-area has six baseball teams remaining heading into the third round, as well as three softball teams advancing into the regional semifinals.

Baseball playoff pairings 

Class 4A 

Regional quarterfinals 

Randall (32-3) vs. Hereford (21-9-2), at Wilder Park, West Texas A&M

Game 1: 6 p.m. Thursday
Game 2: 11 a.m. Friday
Game 3: 30 minutes following Game 2, if necessary

Canyon (25-7) vs. Midland Greenwood (20-13), at Lubbock-Cooper HS

Game 1: 6 p.m. Friday
Game 2: Noon, Saturday
Game 3: 30 minutes following Game 2, if necessary

Class 3A

Regional quarterfinals 

Bushland (27-3) vs. Idalou (20-4), 1 p.m. Saturday, Amarillo High Baseball Complex (one-game) 

Class 1A 

Regional semifinals   

Nazareth (14-4) vs. Claude (16-9) 

Game 1: 6 p.m. Thursday, Hodgetown
Game 2: 30 minutes following Game 1
Game 3: TBA, Saturday, West Plains HS

Pampa (23-8) vs. Burkburnett (25-7-1), at Lubbock Christian University 

Game 1: 7 p.m. Thursday
Game 2: 5 p.m. Friday
Game 3: Noon, Saturday

Dumas (31-7) vs. Decatur (29-7-1), at Lubbock-Cooper HS

Game 1: 6 p.m. Friday
Game 2: 11 a.m. Saturday
Game 3: 30 minutes following Game 2, if necessary

Class 3A

Regional semifinals 

Bushland (30-7) vs. Coahoma (31-3), 7 p.m. Friday, Frenship HS (one-game)
