On the court: The sophomore outside hitter put together one of her best efforts of the season that helped propel Amarillo High past rival Tascosa in a hard fought five-set thriller 15-25, 25-17, 25-22, 21-25, 18-16. as the Lady Sandies clinched their third straight District 3-5A championship. Cavalier went to another level in the match starting on offense where she landed a season-high 25 kills. Defensively, Cavalier was all over the court hitting the floor for a season-high 25 digs for an incredible double-double. On the season, Cavalier has tallied exactly 300 kills on the year with 267 digs, 23 blocks and 19 aces for the Lady Sandies.

Coach Mike Moffitt: “Having Tascosa take us to five was a great challenge at the right time. We haven’t had a five-set match in a while, and it took all we had to get through it. It something that can help us down the road in the playoffs for sure. Sienna was huge in the win and really propelled us. I’ve seen growth in her all season and the big reason why is she goes 100 percent in practice every day. She does the work no one sees, and she gets better for it. She is a spark for us and that was clear on Saturday from her monster effort.”

Cavalier: “The Tascosa game was so much fun. The energy was amazing and helped my adrenaline get up there and really made me play to my fullest. I just wanted to leave everything on the floor in that game like my teammates did and get the win. We just need to stay focused heading into the playoffs. I’m young so I’m a little nervous but if we play to the potential, we can I think we can make a deep playoff run. Personally, I just want to keep getting better and improving on offense and defense. I am continuing to work on my block, and I just want to be consistent.”
