Coach Chris Sumrall: “I think we’re learning a lot. We played really good teams early and that has gotten us ready for district. We’re going to have a tough district schedule, so we just have to keep improving. Davaeh is going to be key for us in district. She has a great presence around the basket and is a great defender. Where I feel she has really come on is her shooting. She is shooting the ball well and becoming a scorer for us.”

Johnson: “I think we’re coming together as a team especially right before district starts. We’re all supporting each other and playing for each other. Coach Sumrall is great to me. He’s so encouraging and has helped me transition into a varsity player. We showed what we could do last weekend, but I just want to keep getting better and everyone on the team wants to get better.”
