On the court: Randall’s sensational shooter continues to lead the Raiders to a perfect district season. Thomas and the Raiders to a pair of District 4-4A wins last week against Pampa and Borger. Against the Harvesters, Thomas scored a game-high 31 points to go with five assists, a pair of boards and two steals. In the win over Borger, Thomas put up 28 points with five more assists, two boards and two steals.

On the season, Thomas is pouring in 21 points a game, dishing out 4.9 assists a night, averaging 4.2 rebounds and nabbing 2.1 steals a contest.

Coach Leslie Broadhurst““I think we’re getting better as a team and doing some small things better. The defensive is improving and we’re pushing the ball down the floor well and scoring at a high rate. KJ has gotten a lot better overall from a year ago, which is hard to say as good as he’s always been. His defense is much better and he’s a more complete player. He’s become a vocal leader and he’s what makes us go.”

Thomas: “I love the way we’re playing this season. We’re a much more complete team than last year and we’re locked in. We play the right way, and we just want to continue to get better. I think I’m playing well but I can’t do it without my teammates. My teammates are finding me and we’re all sharing the ball well. I’d say my role has changed significantly. I’m more of a vocal leader and I’m taking way more pride in my defense.”
