3 things that happened on Tuesday night 

Childress girls knock off Shallowater 

The Childress Lady Bobcats stayed hot by winning their third district game in a row by blowing past Shallowater 42-25 on Tuesday night.

Childress pulled away in the second half by outscoring the Fillies 23-12 in the final two quarters to get the victories. Cameran Daniels had a game-high 12 points followed by Ada Henderson’s 11. The Lady Bobcats are now 3-1 in District 2-3A and 18-8 overall. Shallowater falls to 10-8, 2-2.

Pampa takes down West Plains

The Pampa Lady Harvesters opened the second half of District 4-4A play getting a measure of revenge on West Plains with a 45-36 win on Tuesday night.

With the victory, the Lady Harvesters (15-10 overall) move into a third-place tie with the Lady Wolves (10-13) at 4-4 in the league race. Berin Bartlett poured in a game-high 17 to lead Pampa.

Tuesday’s top performers 

  • Sadie Sanchez continued her terrific season for Randall dropping in 32 points to lead the Lady Raiders past Borger 71-54.
  • Allie Sparks scored a game-high 30 points in the Gruver Lady Hounds 86-46 thumping of Sunray.
  • Lucy Richards of Vega blistered the Bovina reaching a triple-double during a 53-33 victory on Tuesday. Richards put up 36 points with an eye-opening 13 steals and had 10 rebounds.
