West Texas High knocks off Sanford-Fritch

West Texas High stayed in control of the early portion of the District 1-2A lead by taking down rival Sanford-Fritch by a 55-44 count at home on Tuesday night.

The Comanches are off to a 17-3 start while moving to 2-0 in the district. Fritch falls to 13-8, 1-1.

Cash Fulton put together a great night for WT High scoring a team-high 14 points followed by teammate Kade Hamby’s 12 points. Despite the loss, Eagle guard Danner Price poured in a game-high 29 points.

Texline takes down Wildorado 

In a highly anticipated matchup of two top teams out of Region I, it was Texline getting the upper hand on rival Wildorado by holding off the Mustangs 53-46 at home on Tuesday night.

The Tornadoes used balanced scoring to get the victory led by Hayden Drumm’s 17 points. Joe Clay chipped in with 12 points and Will Clay added 11 for Texline.

The Tornadoes are on a roll at 20-4 overall and more importantly 3-0 in District 3-1A. The Mustangs (22-3 overall) fall to 3-1 in the league.

Tuesday’s top performers 

K.J. Thomas dropped in 28 points during Randall’s 118-55 thumping of Borger.

Palo Duro’s Victor Juarez continued his stellar play with 17 points that lifted the Dons past Plainview 70-47.

Perryton’s do-it-all standout Julian Cervantes tallied a team-high 15 points as the Rangers knocked off Hereford 46-36.

Aiden Allen of Childress put another stellar game together dropping in 24 points in a 68-40 win at Slaton.

Camren Cavalier quarterbacked Canadian to a key District 1-3A win over Spearman 56-43 by putting up a game-high 21 points.

Hagen Chisum lit up Stratford for 22 points in Booker’s 46-41 victory against the Elks.

The Wheeler duo of Austin Adkins and Levi Ashurst was too much for Memphis to overcome. During the Mustangs 69-54 victory against the Cyclones on Tuesday, Adkins and Ashurst combined for 46 points. Adkins had a game-high 26 with Ashurst following with 20.

Farwell’s Ryder McElroy put up big numbers with 24 points in an 85-16 win over Boys Ranch.

Ascension Academy’s Jaxson Richards continued his hot play scoring 21 points in a 60-46 win over Southcrest. The No. 10-ranked Cardinals are now a perfect 15-0 and 4-0 in TAPPS District 1-2A.
