San Jacinto rolls over Christ the King
The San Jacinto Christian Academy Lady Patriots bounced back in a big way following their first district loss Tuesday night at All Saints.
The Lady Patriots put it on Christ The King, rolling to a 73-29 victory at home Thursday night. With the win, SJCA stays in a first-place tie with All Saints at 6-1 while improving to 23-5 overall.
The Lady Patriots spread around the scoring with Siscely Mincher, Jaxsyn Amero and Skyla Brabham all scoring a team-high 14 points. Teammate London Nichols chipped in 11 points.

Canadian gets big road win at Dalhart
The Canadian Wildcats closed out the first half of District 1-3A play with a huge 47-44 road victory against Dalhart on Thursday night.
The Lady Cats (19-9) finish the first half of district in second place behind Bushland at 4-1. It wasn’t the best week for the Lady Wolves, who suffer a second straight loss, falling to 3-2 in the league and 22-5 overall.
Canadian guard Kylie Cavalier had a huge night against Dalhart. Behind Cavalier, the Lady Cats were able to erase a five-point halftime deficit, as the senior finished with a game-high 23 points. Dalhart’s Kaetlin Sundvahl and Arianna Chacon each tallied 12 points.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY’S TOP PERFORMERS
- Frenship’s Jada Jackson capped off a big week by scoring 10 of her game-high 18 points in the second half to push the Lady Tigers past Odessa Permian 65-30.
- Mariah Everage was on fire for the Childress Lady Cats, pouring in a game-best 27 points during a 77-22 thumping of Tulia.
- Palo Duro got back in the win column with a hard-fought 35-31 home win against Lubbock Coronado. Taylee Meander paced the Lady Dons with 15 points.
- Pampa came away with a clutch 42-33 win at West Plains on Friday. Leading the charge was Tamblynn Moss with 16 points.
- Idalou continues to roll behind Karsyn Lutrick, who registered a team-high 18 points in a 78-33 victory against Lubbock Roosevelt.
- Behind Piper Pipkin pouring in 15 points, the Lynxettes nabbed a big District 1-2A win over Stratford, 40-37.
- Olton’s Mariana Gallegos went off for a game-high 25 points that lifted the Lady Mustangs to a key 63-56 district win over Farwell.
- Miami stayed hot with a huge home win over Fort Elliott 55-39. Mia Calvert was the catalyst, finishing the night with 15 points.
- Vega’s Khloe Griffitt. just keeps getting better by the week. Griffitt was a mismatch for Sunray, scoring a game-high 25 points in a 61-41 win Thursday night.
- Cooper Cone of White Deer posted 19 points as the Does beat Groom 46-37 for a big District 2-1A win.
