Bushland rallies past Dalhart in thriller
Bushland was able to bounce back from a loss to Canadian at home Friday, by defending home court with a huge come-from-behind 47-45 win against Dalhart on Tuesday night.
The Falcons were down by as many as nine points late in the fourth quarter. However, Bushland put together a rally down the stretch, going on a 13-2 run that was highlighted by a Jenner King go-ahead 3-pointer with only two seconds left that prevailed the Falcons to the dramatic win. King was the star Tuesday, finishing with a game-high 19 points. Teammate Kip Bidegain added 13.
Bushland is now 1-1 in District 1-3A and 10-8 overall. The Golden Wolves fall to 1-1 in the league and 18-3.

Panhandle has no problems at Clarendon
The Panhandle Panthers are proving to be the team to beat in District 2-2A following another lopsided performance. The Panthers went on the road and handled Clarendon 64-30.
The Panthers push their overall record to 17-6 overall and 6-0 in district play. The Broncos fall to 1-4 in the league and 11-15 overall.
Caden Armes had the big night for Panhandle, registering a game-high 17 points behind three, 3-pointers. Teammate Luke Schmucker also finished in double-digits with 11 points.
TUESDAY’S TOP PERFORMERS
- LaDarius Godbolt continues his torrid scoring pace by dropping in a game-high 30 points during the Tascosa Rebels 64-36 win against Lubbock High.
- Farwell’s Braddock Foster was unstoppable with an eye-popping 35 points as the Steers beat up Bovina 98-36.
- Jax Richards kept Amarillo High on the winning side of things with 17 points in a 63-49 win at Plainview.
- Canyon rallied back in the second half to down Pampa 50-46. Jesiah Abuallo helped lead that charge 13 of his team-high 15 points in the final two quarters.
- Lubbock-Cooper Liberty’s Tookie Johnson lit up Frenship Memorial for 21 points during a 60-39 victory.
- Childress picked up its first District 1-3A win by blasting River Road 64-40. Crewz Keys drove the Bobcats with 14 points.
- Kooper Walden was tough to stop by dropping in a game-high 23 points in a Stratford 67-38 win over Sunray.
- New Home’s Zack Armes led a crazy Leopards come-from-behind win to stun Abernathy 80-79 on the road. Armes finished the game with 25 points. Despite a loss, Abernathy’s David Duvall was unbelievable, posting a game-high 40.
- Pringle-Morse picked up a 67-47 home win against Adrian. Eric Lopez set the tone with a game-best 26 points on 55 percent shooting from the floor, to go with eight boards and four assists. Teammate Peyton Earls added a double-double with 19 points and 19 boards.
- Holy Cross Catholic Academy continues to impress in a 79-31 blowout of Ascension Academy. During the league win, Kon Deng dropped in a team-high 24 points.
