The Stratford Elks football team carries on hot dog Thanksgiving tradition

The Stratford Elks will be making their 20th appearance in the last 26th year during the third round of the UIL Texas High School football playoffs when they take on the Bovina Mustangs a Class 2A Division II regional semifinal game at 6 p.m., Friday at Dick Bivins Stadium.

Press Pass Sports Editor Kale Steed went to visit Stratford head coach Jonathan Murphy to talk about the Elks practicing on Thanksgiving, the hot dog tradition and Murphy’s relationship with Bovina head coach Wade Wilson.
