On the court: The Randall Lady Raiders have been on fire since the District 4-4A started and libero Kambree Gonzalez is a big reason why. The junior leader has stepped up more and more and that showed during big wins over West Plains and Pampa last week. Gonzalez shined in both wins showing off her defensive skills with 17 digs against the Lady Wolves followed by 25 against Pampa for a total of 42 for the two matches.

On the season, Gonzalez leads the Lady Raiders with 412 digs to go with 58 aces.

Coach Karli Morrison: “Kambree is playing really well right now and she is just continuing to get better. After each game, I at least have one person tell me how good our libero is. She has worked hard on being a good team player and understanding what’s best for the team to make us successful. I also feel like she has poured into her character more and helped the younger players be more intense.”

Gonzalez: “I think as a team we’re playing very well together and we all are stepping up into our roles. We all have something to give to the team during practices and games. I’ve been able to step up in my role by being a leader and I’m not trying to be like anyone else. I lead in the ways I was given.”
