High school volleyball tournament season continued with the second full weekend completing on Saturday afternoon. Check out how teams from across the Texas Panhandle and the South Plains did from Thursday to Saturday.

Dalhart claims River Road Tournament crown

Dalhart carried on its strong start to the young season going unbeaten through Friday and Saturday to win the River Road Tournament Gold Bracket championship.

The Lady Wolves (11-2-1 overall) went 4-0-1 during the two days. During Saturday’s bracket play, Dalhart defeated Idalou in the semifinals 25-16, 25-12, advancing to face Fort Elliott in the championship game. In the match with the Lady Cougars, the Lady Wolves were able to get another sweep beating Fort Elliott, 25-21, 25-21.
