In Perryton, his most memorable moment so far is placing third at Cool in Boomtown. Facing powerhouse Randall remains a challenge, but Coach Lynch is determined to help his teams get over the hump.
Rituals, Ping Pong, and Ministry Aspirations
Game day for Coach Lynch means the same Spotify playlist, a specific undershirt, and always putting his left shoe on first. His hidden talent? He’s a ping pong champion!
His favorite pre-game meal is Subway or Smokehouse. If he weren’t coaching, he’d be serving as a pastor in ministry—a testament to his faith-driven approach.
The best advice he’s received: “Care more about your players as people than athletes.”

Stubborn, Passionate, Caring
His team would describe him as stubborn, passionate, and caring. Rocky IV, Vision Quest, and The Sandlot are his favorite sports movies.
While he’s not a big social media guy, Facebook is his go-to for sharing about family, faith, and baseball. In his office, you’ll likely hear Luke Combs or Brandon Lake.
Coaching Philosophy: Team Over Self
The biggest lesson sports have taught Coach Lynch is that when the goal is bigger than any one individual, it takes everyone to accomplish it—and it’s worth every ounce of effort.
His coaching motto:
“Love your players, the rest will take care of itself in time.”
He believes the Texas Panhandle’s volleyball scene is uniquely passionate, making it special to be a part of.

This season, Coach Lynch’s goal is to help his teams take the next step—winning tournaments and district games.
After moving from struggling for competitiveness to being on the verge of breaking through, he’s focused on closing the gap and achieving success together.
Coffee, Both Sides of Preparation, and Community Hunger
He’s a coffee fan, values both film study and field practice, and believes defense wins championships.
His favorite drill? “Validate.” The best part of coaching in Perryton is the community’s eagerness for a winning program and their constant support—everyone can sense that success is just around the corner.
