Friday’s highlights

Randall scored a pair of first half goals that stood up in a 2-1 win against Lubbock-Cooper during a Class 5A bi-district game Friday night on the Randall Pitch.

The Pirates led 1-0 after the 12th minute until the Raiders netted back-to-back goals by the brother tandem of Danny Garcia and Juan Garcia.

Palo Duro is headed to the area round of the playoffs after knocking off Abilene Cooper 3-1 at Lubbock-Cooper in a Class 5A bi-district clash Friday night.

Dons sophomore and prolific scorer Jamie Carrillo tallied two goals in the victory, while teammate Dominique Gomez added a goal with an assist.

A big second half propelled the Amarillo High Lady Sandies to a 4-0 win against Lubbock-Cooper in a Class 5A bi-district matchup Friday on the AHS Turf.

Nicole Gray scored two goals and dished out an assist for AHS. Teammate Libby Sobey added a goal with an assist.
