District 1-3A
Charley Spinks had a career outing leading Bushland to a commanding 22-3 run-rule win at Canadian during a District 1-3A game Friday afternoon.
Spinks feasted on Lady Cats pitching in every sense of the word. The senior slugger was seeing the ball well going a perfect 4-for-4 hitting an eye-opening four homers in all four at-bats driving in an incredible 11 RBIs on the day. Spinks also scored five times in this blowout. Chayney Snelson also did her job following with a 5-for-5 day at the dish with a homer, and a double to drive in two RBIs, and Kinley Jordan drove in three runs on a 3-for-4 performance.

Speaking of River Road, the Lady Wildcats remained unbeaten in 1-3A after blasting Tulia 21-0 on Friday afternoon. River Road (19-6) is a perfect 6-0 in district action.
Ashlynn Ferris had a huge day going 2-for-3 with a double finishing the game with five RBIs. Ava Sharp worked three quick innings in the circle racking up six strikeouts without allowing a hit.
Childress picked up another win downing Dalhart 14-0 on Friday. The Lady Bobcats (12-9-1) stay in third place in District 1-3A at 4-2. KJ Felton went 4-for-4 with two doubles driving in a pair of runs. Jaycee Lepe and Kaleigh Ross were both 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Ansley Parr was stellar in the circle going all five innings with 14 strikeouts. Parr was also 3-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs.
District 3-5A
Due to the rainy weather on Friday, Amarillo High and Caprock were unable to complete a key District 3-5A game at the Lady Longhorns Softball Complex.
When the game was called, AHS led Caprock 3-1 in the top of the fourth. The contest will be resumed at 4 p.m. Monday afternoon.
In other district games Friday, Lubbock Coronado beat Palo Duro 23-1, Lubbock Monterey downed Lubbock High 15-5, and Lubbock-Cooper dominated Plainview 11-1.
District 4-4A
Mother nature played a huge role Friday especially during a key District 4-4A showdown in Dumas.
With heavy rains picking up on the Demonettes natural surface, umpires called the game between Randall and Dumas with the Lady Raiders leading 4-2 in the bottom of the fourth. This contest is expected to resume on Monday afternoon.
Before the delay, Randall had built the lead following a grand slam from Landri Holcomb in the top of the first inning.
West Plains stayed hot getting a one-sided home win against Hereford 12-1 on Friday afternoon. The Lady Wolves are staying in the playoff hunt at 6-4 while pushing their overall record to 10-12-1. Freshman Emory Chancler has been on fire of late and that continued as Chancler went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Jaylen Kaps, who recently went over 700 strikeouts for her amazing career, threw five strong innings scattering three hits with eight K’s.
Canyon remained all alone in third place of District 4-4A after pummeling Perryton 26-2. The Lady Eagles are now 7-3 in district and 20-6-2 overall. Maddie Hight lit up Perryton driving in five runs on a 3-for-3 afternoon that included a home run.
Pampa kept itself in the postseason battle by blasting Borger 18-1. Maecie Hawthorne was on fire going 4-for-5 with a homer and a double to finish the contest with seven RBIs. Hawthorne did her job in the circle as well throwing five innings allowing two hits with nine strikeouts.
District 1-2A
Gruver stayed in control of District 1-2A getting a lopsided 15-2 victory against Highland Park.
The Lady Hounds (11-5) remain atop the district at 7-1. Remi Grimes had four RBIs for Gruver and Natalie Harper along with Carly Neeley each drove in two runs. Neeley threw a complete game shutout on top of her offensive performance with 12 strikeouts.
In another district game, Sunray outlasted Booker 20-19.
In District 2-2A, Clarendon’s home game with Quanah was postponed due to rain and rescheduled to 4 p.m. on Monday.
