Playing every other defensive series, the All-State linebacker racked up 11 tackles, two of those for a loss, and sack against the Chieftains.

Colton Mills, Dumas, QB, Soph.

Behind the strong play of gunslinger Colton Mills, Dumas was able to snap a four-game losing skid in an impressive 35-9 thumping of the Canyon Eagles on Friday night. Mills is having a sensational sophomore campaign, and it continued as he picked a part the Canyon defense going 13-of-21 for 284 yards with four touchdown tosses. Mills used his quick feet to add 100 yards rushing on 14 carries.

Broxton Robinson, Panhandle, QB-LB, Jr.

Robinson geared up for this week’s battle with Sunray by feasting on the West Texas High defense during a 67-12 blowout victory on Friday night. On the offensive side, Robinson couldn’t be stopped chewing up 235 yards on 18 carries with three touchdowns. Robinson was strong through the air as well going 9-of-14 for 157 yards with two more TDs. On the defensive side, the linebacker made a total of 14 tackles to go with an interception.

Mauricio Herrera, Muleshoe, WR, Sr.

Herrera has become a trustworthy target for QB Nathan Martens and because of this dynamic 1-2 punch, Herrera is posting some incredible numbers. During Muleshoe’s 55-51 shootout victory over Littlefield, the speedy wide out caught a game-high 12 balls for 214 yards with two touchdowns.

Tyler Brooks, Borger, WR-DB, Sr.

Brooks was the Swiss Army Knife for the Bulldogs in a key 54-23 home win over Lubbock-Cooper Liberty. Whatever he was asked, Brooks did it, and it began with a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Following that, Brooks did his part on offense with two catches for 64 yards and a score. Defensively, the senior leader made four tackles with two pass breakups.

Kaiden Miller, Randall, WR, Sr.

Randall stayed unbeaten on the year getting a thrilling 41-34 district win over Hereford. Miller picked the perfect time for a career outing as the senior was a mismatch for the Whiteface secondary. Miller was spectacular hauling in a team-best nine catches for 209 yards with three touchdowns, including a 99-yard pitch and catch for a score.

Reid Macon, West Plains, QB, Jr.

West Plains stayed hot in district play pummeling Pampa 45-13. Macon was stellar in the victory over the Harvesters going completing 16-of-19 passes for 290 yards with three touchdowns. Macon tacked on another TD behind 26 yards rushing.

Braddek  Darnell, Wildorado, QB, Sr.

Abraham Sigala, Wheeler, DL, Jr.

Wheeler’s defense pitched a fourth straight shutout getting a 49-0 blanking of Memphis on Friday night. The Mustangs haven’t allowed a touchdown in 16 quarters while outscoring their opponents during that stretch 207-0. Sigala is a major catalyst for that success. Against Memphis, the junior defensive end gave the Cyclones fits finishing with 12 tackles wit five of those coming for a loss.

Hudson Swan, Spearman, QB-DB, Soph.

Swan was electric on both sides of the ball leading the Lynx to their first district win 49-6 over Sanford-Fritch.
